After a torrid time out with injuries over a several-month spell, the defender has been back involved with the squad in recent weeks, making substitute appearances before earning the call from the off in today’s 3-0 victory at Broadwood.
Speaking to RangersTV to look back on the day's work after helping the team to a win and a clean sheet, she said: “I am over the moon if I am honest.
“That is a massive thank you to Leanne [Crichton] for putting me in. I just wanted to take the opportunity, and I wanted to get the minutes in the legs.
“Obviously, against Partick Thistle, who are a tough team, it is a great test, having the girls by your side as well, they help you day in day out.
“I just wanted to give a bit back too, be a bit of a voice back in there.
“I am really happy, it has been a long time coming, all the hours that you spend in the gym and on your own doing your bits, it is just a pleasure to be back with everyone, so I am really happy with that.”
“Clean sheet? For me, that is my first port of call, and it is the target, especially keeping that backline nice and tight together.
“It is just making those different decisions sometimes, looking back and how we work them out and get the best out of each other as a unit.
“It is great, clean sheet and three points and just happy to be back with the team.”
The Gers came out of the blocks quickly and sailed into a two-goal lead thanks to finishes from both Katie Wilkinson and Quinty Sabajo. The defender was pleased with the overall outcome on the day, but says the team could have been more clinical in front of goal.
She continued: “It was positive, we wanted the three points, and we got them.
“I think we started the game well, two goals in six minutes, so that was really pleasing.
“We probably should have been a bit tidier over the 90 minutes absolutely, but a big three points against tough opposition.
“Partick Thistle are a tough team. They have shown it against many other teams across the season.
“You have got to see how they come at you and adapt during the game.
“We had our game plan, and I think that really got executed well in the first half.
“Although we needed to tidy up a bit second half, it became a bit loose, and we had to tidy that, maybe a bit too transitional for what we wanted.
“We had plenty of chances, but then, saying that, we gave them some chances too.
“Obviously, a centre-back, you pride yourself on that sort of stuff.
“For me, that will be an important bit of homework, going and looking at that part of the game too.
“It was good to get the chances, the play in between the lines as well was really good, and it is just about getting distances and relationships.
“The effort was absolutely there, and proud of the girls for the three points.”
After ticking off the result on their return to league action, the Light Blues will now round off the year with a trip north to take on Aberdeen next Sunday, with the 29-year-old urging the team to end 2025 on a high.
She said: “There are two games until Christmas. I am pleased with the one that we just had, but we take it game by game, and now we have got this week to focus on the game plan going into that game.
“Be nice and positive and brave like we have been and keep building those relationships and hopefully put ourselves in good standing come the Christmas break.”
