Rising highest to head home from a corner, the defender found the target for just the second time in blue as she helped the team book their place in the last four of the Scottish Cup.
In a day where three of the starting back four scored including a first since late 2023 for captain Nicola Docherty, the centre-back was happy to play her part, she said: “I don't actually know we have been working on corners quite a bit so I am happy that has just went in the back of the net and I can finally say I have scored again.
“We have been winding Nic up for how long it has been.
“Me, Kathy and Nic to get on the scoresheet in the one day wasn't what we thought would happen but we'll take it and it is contributed towards the win so we are happy.”
“We are just really happy with the performance as well as the result. Obviously eight goals and a lot of different scorers. We are happy just to get into the semi-final and we'll be waiting to see who we have got.”
The 25-year-old says it is such a positive environment to be a part of with the Gers in fine form of late, as she continues by to make strides back to full fitness having started her second game in succession.
She continued: “It is good and I think as well playing in the backline you are always wanting to contribute to the goals.
“You can see that we have been working on a moving the ball side to side before we go higher up.
“It has been paying off and hopefully we can do that again next week before we go into the international.
“I am just trying to get back, stay fit injury free and train as hard as a I can.
“Play as many minutes as I can and looking after myself, so far it is going well and hopefully it can continue.”
Having won the competition for the first time last season, Eddie says it is an occasion to look forward to as attention switches back to league action in seven days’ time.
She added: “Playing at Hampden as well it is something that not a lot of people have done and the international ones coming in and playing in games like that is huge for them.
“Hopefully we can put on a performance then and get ourselves to the final.
“Montrose? It is going to be a tough game; we know that going back to the league is different from the cup.
“Hopefully we can just get another good result, go into the international break healthy fit, on a win and we'll just come back looking to kick on in the split.”
