In the penultimate SPWPL outing of the season, the Gers had to secure victory over the city rivals to secure a Champions League return and also take the title race to the final day.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on the 4-0 derby win, she said: “I am really pleased; I thought the performance was absolutely up there with one of our best.
“I just thought the players all over the pitch were right up for the challenge today.
“Super professional, really aggressive in their duals, real good intensity at points in the game that we needed it and ruthlessness and composure at both ends of the pitch and inside both boxes.
“You could wax lyrical about at least three or four of them and their own individual performances, but I just feel as a collective today right through the staff group and everybody, we managed the job, we knew what we had to do, and we have stood up to that challenge.
“To win any Old Firm game as convincingly as we have done today and the manner in which we have done it is absolutely top drawer.”
The Head Coach was full of praise for several individuals in the squad as the team delivered all over the pitch with a fantastic display.
She continued: “I think for Lily, there is a notable mention there and her youthfulness again and in experience to a point in this fixture and the pressure of this fixture and what it meant in terms of the outcome of the league season.
“She has had to bide her time, and we knew when we brought Lily back from Motherwell at the point of the season we did, we wanted her to come to compete.
“Her quality in possession, the way she reads the game, her composure, vision, aggressiveness in her duals, and she is up against a top striker in Saoirse Noonan this afternoon.
“She was an outstanding performer again today, flies under the radar in so many weeks because we have got so many flair players and goalscorers, which tend to grab the headlines, but the way she has led the group and the manner in which she has done it as well and her consistency in her performance was absolutely up there.
“Getting Lizzie Arnot back on the pitch today was a huge one for us as a group. We know Lizzie is probably getting to the stage where she will hang the boots up at the end of the season, but she has been first-class as a professional. Not just here at Rangers, but her entire career and has had to work back from injury.
“We could keep going on about every single player because they all played their part.
“The ones that came off the bench gave us that impact as well. Wilko grabs a double, Laura's timing in terms of the third goal straight after half time absolutely kills the game.
“We know how important that third goal is in this type of game, and scoreline you could keep going on.”
Rangers will now head into the final day of the season with their fate out of their own hands, but still a possibility of claiming a first title since 2022. The former Scotland international wants her team to enjoy the week and see where the day takes them next Sunday.
She added: “Next week for us is a task, and it is three points against a top side. We will travel to Petershill, and we'll be as professional and focused as we have been.
“We will relax and enjoy this week and the preparation because I don't feel that there is pressure on us.
“If something changes elsewhere, there would be nothing more frustrating than us having to look at ourselves again and not having done our jobs.
“We'll embrace that challenge; it is a different one from probably seasons gone by for the group, and I don't want them to be stressed about it.
“I don't want them to feel the pressure; I want them to enjoy it and enjoy that challenge as they did today.
“That has been an important factor for us, we recognise we are Rangers, and we want to win titles and silverware, we want to succeed as a group absolutely, and every single staff member and player has tried their absolute best to deliver this season, and we still have got two bites at it.
“We will see what happens, then we have got a Scottish Cup final off the back of that as well, so it could be a really enjoyable couple of weeks for the club.”
