The squad are hungry to cap off Crichton’s first campaign in charge with silverware as they square off against their Old Firm rivals.
Qualification to the UEFA Champions League was secured through the league for the Gers, but disappointment ensued in the Sky Sports Cup final earlier this season when they lost out to Glasgow City.
The head coach says her squad are relishing the opportunity this weekend as they seek to extend their remarkable run in this competition.
Speaking to RangersTV to preview the contest, she said of the importance of the supporters at Hampden Park: “It would be great to get a top turnout. It always makes Hampden feel much more special.
“For the players, we’ve had a good run in this competition, but ultimately it comes down to a cup game where it can swing in form.
“We need to respect that, and we’ve focused more on that because we don’t want that run to come to an end.
“The players enjoy it, and they thrive on the pressure when the fans come out in their numbers.
“I know how desperate they are to repay them after last weekend.”
Although the nature of last weekend’s final day defeat to Glasgow City is sure to have stung, Crichton wants her players to use the disappointment as fuel heading into Sunday.
There have been setbacks throughout the campaign, but it has been a season where the side secured their return to the UEFA Champions League qualifying stages and only narrowly missed out on a fourth successive Sky Sports Cup triumph.
Crichton added: “It’s worth mentioning the disappointment and frustration surrounding last weekend, and the manner of the defeat was disappointing for everyone.
“It’s one that we want to bounce back from. We really appreciated the support and backing last weekend, and that probably added to the impact on how we all felt.
“It’s great that we have this game and opportunity, playing Celtic in a Scottish Cup final, to right the wrongs of last weekend.
“As a manager in my first season here, looking at it, the players have given us absolutely everything, and their achievements won’t be noted because everyone understands that only silverware defines that.
“To secure European football and get us to a level that we’re at just now, it’s one we’re really proud of, but we’ll only feel that level of satisfaction if we can get over the line on Sunday.
“No one is going to move beyond that type of defeat and disappointment, so I don’t expect it to be fully erased from their minds.
“I hope it’s in the pits of their stomach and they can use it as a motivating factor on Sunday, but in terms of their attitude and application, they have been first-class.
“They are an outstanding group to work with. They have given the staff and me everything that we’ve wanted, and there have been so many moments throughout the season that have been a bounce-back moment.
"It would have been disappointing if last weekend was the last game and that was the sign off, so it’s a really good one to focus on.
“The training standard has been excellent, and we’ve been on the grass this week in preparation for the Hampden pitch.”
