The defender stepped back onto the pitch for the first time since March 2023 at the beginning of last month in the Scottish Cup victory over Dundee United in a game in which she marked the moment with a goal.
Speaking to RangersTV when talking about the challenges she faced during her rehab period, she commented: “There was a lot of emotion. It was honestly fantastic; I have a really good team and the people help all the time and it is the reason why I came back stronger like that.
“I have the mindset for this kind of event. I always keep in my mind my goals. I know that I will hold on to 100 per cent of my abilities. Today I feel at my full capacity on the pitch.
“How was marking your return to the pitch with a goal? It was fantastic, it was an incredible moment with a lot of emotions. I worked hard to get to my best levels. Today I am ready to help the team achieve all our goals.”
The centre-back has spoken upon the return from the most recent international break and says it has helped getting some time off as she now targets minutes in the side in the coming weeks as they head into a crucial month of fixtures.
She continued: “I enjoyed the time away with my family and I still stayed focused on my goals, I continued to work with my coaches because we have a very big game soon.”
“I feel at the top of my physical condition in addition to the sessions with the team I work towards my own personal and professional goals.
“It is really important because we want to mark the history of the club and we play for only one goal, only winning. We are ready for that because we have the players and the staff members to get that.”
“It is very important to win and maintain the points gap in first place in the league.”
Now having been back training with the squad for a few months the defender has reflected on working under Jo Potter so far this season, as she paid tribute to her teammates for helping her through testing times working her way to a return.
She added: “For me she is a really good coach. She teaches us a lot of things from her experience as an international player and I consider my team like my second family so the support was honestly amazing during my rehab and they helped me a lot.
“It was very important for me mentally and physically, so I thank them very much for the support and help.”
