The forward paid credit to her teammates as the squad kept pushing for a breakthrough at Meadowbank, with Arnot converting in the 85th minute.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, she said: “It wasn't our best performance, but we know that when we are coming up against teams that they are going to make it difficult for us week in week out. It is up to us to bring a good performance and we are just thankful that we got the win.
“We have shown in games this season we just have to keep going and we are just happy we showed patience and we got the goal at the end.
“At half-time, Malky just said we need to up our quality and that was evident on the pitch. We had more of the ball, and we were creating chances but we just weren't putting the ball in the net. Sometimes you create a chance, and you get a bit of luck in the end, so I think credit to the girls we just kept pushing and we got what we deserved.”
For Arnot, it was her first league start since March and she was delighted to mark that with the all-important goal.
She continued: “It is a competitive squad, and I knew I just needed to bide my time and I was thankful I got my chance to try and get myself back in the team so to get the goal and be back on the scoresheet is a good feeling.
“I saw Megan [Bell] on the ball and I know what she does every time she gets it, she wants to whip the cross in so I just thought as long as I am there. Obviously, it went through the keeper, and I was just happy I was in the right place at the right time.”
Next up for Rangers is Partick Thistle at Broadwood on Wednesday evening, Arnot added: “It is just game after game, and we have got to just prepare for that. It is going to be another difficult test for us but we will just recover tomorrow and go again.”
