The 19-year-old midfielder opened the scoring with a terrific volley inside three minutes, repeating the feat in the second half when he met Robbie Fraser’s cross first-time on the edge of the penalty area.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, a delighted Lyall said: “I’ve not scored in a while so it was good to get back on the scoresheet again today, especially with two very good goals.
“We got the goal quite early. We kept the ball well but we had no end product for a while after that. We were told [at half-time] to get after it, get on the ball, try and create a bit more and we ended up doing that by scoring the two goals in the second half.
“We’ve not won in the last few games so it’s always good to get back on that winning streak. Hopefully we can kick on and put that into the next game as well.”
The young Gers welcome Caledonian Braves to Dumbarton Stadium on Thursday evening, kick-off 7:45pm, and Lyall insists the side must continue their momentum.
He continued: “It’s always good to keep the morale high and, after a few defeats, it’s not great. But getting the win today has helped us a lot and we just need to keep that feeling going into the next games.
“There’s only four games left so we need to try and get three points in every single game and that’s what we’re going to try and do to finish the season on a high.”
