The Light Blue reflected on the game and praised his squad’s winning performance in the Cup campaign.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV after the dominant performance, he said: “It was a great performance tonight from the very first minute, the boys moved the ball well on the pitch tonight and it was good to get the win and score many goals as well.
“It’s always good to get on the scoresheet, the boys that came off the bench scored as well – it’s always good to have quality in every area, especially off the bench.”
Lyall added the message given at half time was to maintain the energy levels and add to their solid winning performance.
He continued: “They [David McCallum + Brian Gilmour] gave us a compliment when we first went in at half time, but they backed it up by adding that it’s not just good enough to do it in the first half and we needed to go again in the second half – I thought all the boys did that tonight, even the subs that came on it just kept pushing us to the full 90 minutes.”
