The Light Blues head into the clash two points behind the league leaders in second place, with just goal difference separating them and Celtic in a three-way race for the Park’s Motor Group SWPL title.
Speaking to Rangers TV ahead of the huge clash at Ibrox the midfielder is hopeful of a large turnout from the home support.
She said: “It would mean the world to the squad, at the start of the season that was our aim, so if we manage to pull that off it would be great. Obviously we have already won the League Cup, so to add a second bit of silverware to the season would be amazing.
“We are all really looking forward to it and are really excited, I think there is obviously going to be some nerves in there as well. We need to focus on ourselves and not worry about other results and hopefully the performance shows that.
“It would be huge if we got a great crowd in, the fans make all the impact as well so if we can get a crowd into the game it is just going to make us more encouraged on the pitch.”
The 18-year-old is expecting another hard-fought contest against the league leaders with several close encounters already between the sides this season, with the Light Blues running out 2-1 winners when the sides last faced off on April 19.
Maclean continued: “We are expecting a really tough game, we have come across Glasgow City many times this season and before, every game has been really tough and close. We just need to know what we are going to do and stick to the game plan.”
The title could well be decided by goal difference if the Gers and rivals Celtic both come out on top in their fixtures with the latter facing Hearts at the same time and the midfielder says the side must focus on getting the job done themselves and not be distracted with what is potentially happening elsewhere.
She added: “The past few games we have really tried to focus on that, we know what we need to do, we need to get the three points and goals would be a bonus as well, that is definitely something that we need to look at, we just need to not worry about other results and take it when it comes.”
Maclean featured the last time Gers ran out at Ibrox against Benfica back in September and feels that experience of playing in a historic stadium that day has only helped enhance her development for moving forward.
She said: “Obviously it wasn't the result we wanted that game, but it was an amazing experience, the fans were great that game as well and to be playing against such a top team like Benfica as well, it was just a great experience overall.
“Over the course of the season I have improved massively, and it is all down to these experiences and the players around me helping me through the pitch as well.”
