The Light Blues built on a positive start in the game by finding the breakthrough from a corner kick routine with the midfielder applying the finishing touches for her second goal in as many games before they went onto control the match in the second period.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win the youngster was happy with the sides display throughout and feels the team took the work they have been putting in on the training pitch into the game.
She said: “I think we had a really good performance; we took things from training into the game and it showed, we managed to switch the ball out a lot more which we had been trying to do.
“I am always happy to contribute to the team as much as I can and it was a well worked team goal from the corner so I am really happy.”
The 18-year-old highlighted the side’s second half performance and how they came out of the blocks quickly after the restart to race into a three-goal lead.
She continued: “It is something that we spoke about at half time, making sure that we come out again and start quickly. Not letting them have a period of time where they are on top straight after half time so it was good.”
Maclean says the team were disappointed to not keep their second home clean sheet in a row after they conceded towards the end but praised the side’s quick response as they added a fourth almost immediately afterwards.
She added: “We are obviously really disappointed not to keep a clean sheet. We are disappointed with how we lost the goal but it is the reaction that matters most after that and we reacted well.”
