The Gers made the breakthrough through a well-worked Kirsty Maclean strike before they took full control of the contest through second-half goals from Rio Hardy and Rachel McLauchlan.
Carla Boyce did pull a goal back for the visitors before Kirsty Howat’s volley rounded off the scoring late on as the Gers ran out victorious at Broadwood Stadium.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match the head coach was happy with how her side dominated throughout and she said she was happy with the outcome at the end of it.
She said: “I thought we dominated for the majority of the game, which I was happy with. We started the game strong and started the second half strong as well which has been pointed we have needed to work on, so I was happy with the majority of the game. I think it was a worthwhile three points for us.”
Potter highlighted the control her side had in the game after building on their first half opener and says she was happy with how well her team kept the ball throughout the contest.
She continued: “We had a couple of chances before that as well which I would have expected us to put one away, again we created a lot of chances. One thing I said at half time was that we need to be a little bit more clinical, I think the end score could have been the half time score. I was expecting a few more goals in the first half, but we didn't panic. We still stuck to our gameplan, we possessed the ball really well and we moved it really well. We were worthy winners in the end and happy with the three points.
“It is nice to sustain pressure and keep control of the game, especially after there has been a break and the weather is not too great either. It is tough sometimes to come out at half time and keep that momentum high but we did, so I was really happy with that.”
The Gers did concede a goal late on and Potter says it was something they will access as they now look to round off an impressive week so far with a win as they head to Montrose on Sunday before the international break.
She added: “It is something that we will go and look at again, I don't think it is anything that they have done particularly well. On Sunday it was a bit of a worldie something and you can't really control in those moments but I thought we could control that moment today. It put a little bit of a sour taste in the mouth onto a good performance but 98 per cent of the game I was really happy with.
“It is nice to get through these two games with six points. As ever we are looking to get nine out of nine in this week which will make it a really top week if we can, but as ever we don't take any team for granted and we know we have got to put the work in, rest and recover to go again for Sunday.”
