The Gers make the short trip across town to take on last season’s title winners as they look to rack up 11 domestic wins in a row.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference, the midfielder says the full squad are excited for the contest, she commented: “We are really excited about it; these are the games that you really want to play in. It is always a tough game against Glasgow City and we know how close it is at the top of the table, so these are the ones that everyone is really excited about.
“We want to get the three points, that is what our main objective is. It is still a long season ahead, it is definitely not a title decider or anything, but we want to stay at the top of the table because that is where we want to be.”
“Having a gap at the top of the table that is what we all want. That is just going to help us build momentum going into the rest of the games.
“It is still a long season but it is just going to help build confidence and help us believe in ourselves a bit more that we are more than capable of doing it.”
The 18-year-old has praised her head coach for the impact she has had on the squad and believes it is has given an installed confidence into herself and the rest of the team.
She continued: “Jo has come in and we have got a new formation as well which took a bit of time to adapt to. I think we are really getting the hang of it now and things are starting to click so our performance levels are going up as well.
“I think that is something that is really important. To be a successful team is the communication between the players and the manager, I think you build a level of trust that you can then take onto the pitch.
“Jo is never going to moan at you for making a mistake, she will praise you as long as you have tried the right thing. That is so important, it builds confidence within the team and for yourself.
The midfielder has highlighted the squad depth in the side and has hailed her teammates and challenged them to maintain their performance levels moving forward.
“I think obviously still being a younger player I maybe didn't expect to play as much as I have this season, but the girls around me need to take credit for that. The way we have took me under the wing and encourage me on the pitch helps build my confidence. The squad depth is huge in this team and everyone is capable of doing a job. If I want to keep playing then I know I need to keep performing.”
