The Gers boss praised the reaction of his side after the break as they ensured their place in the last eight of the competition.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: “We certainly turned up second-half, I thought first-half we never controlled the game the way we wanted to and I think we were a bit sluggish in our approach to it.
“We were taking too many touches on the ball and we weren't breaking lines the way we are used to but we spoke at half-time about how we were going to fix it.
“We got a great reaction in the second-half and saw some nice football and some nice goals.”
The Gers boss was pleased with the way his squad took initiative to find the solutions after the break.
He added: “It is always that bit if you go 1-0 up and then the opposition score virtually straight after it kind of dampens the mood but they overcame it.
“We found solutions especially in the second-half and we were a lot more slicker, we found our rhythm and we totally dominated.
“It was all about what we are going to do so credit to the girls and I think they knew even before half-time you could see they came together and they sorted things out themselves prior to going in at half-time.”
