The Light Blues progressed to the quarter-finals of the SWPL Cup with a 5-2 win over Aberdeen this evening, with five different goalscorers.
McLauchlan opened the scoring for Rangers and was delighted to get back on the pitch after a short spell out injured, she said: “I am really happy to get back out there and be back with the girls, you miss it as soon as you are out even if it is a short period so I was delighted to get back out there.
“To be honest I couldn't really have missed but as long as it goes in the back of the net I am happy to get on the scoresheet.
“I think we have got that in our game now we can score in lots of different positions and that will be a real advantage going into the rest of the season so it is something that will definitely help.”
The full-back praised the reaction from Rangers as a strong second-half performance sealed the victory.
She continued: “I think we started a bit slow in the first-half, we never really got flowing and we didn't move the ball as well as we could.
“It was great to see that we went in at half-time and we realised that and we had a big reaction in the second-half and it was really good to go out there and perform like we did and get a few goals.
“I think everyone realised as soon as we went in that things had to change and we had to do things a bit differently just simple things like moving the ball quicker and I think we did that and you could see the difference.”
