First half goals from Chantelle Swaby, Chelsea Cornet and Zoe Ness were followed by a second-half double from Kirsten Reilly and a Lizzie Arnot strike.
Malky Thomson named an unchanged side as he stuck with the same XI that beat Forfar Farmington 11-0 last Sunday.
Megan Cunningham was in goal with Nicola Docherty, Chantelle Swaby, Brianna Westrup and Rachel McLauchlan in front of her. Kirsten Reilly, Sam Kerr and Chelsea Cornet were in midfield, with Lizzie Arnot and Brogan Hay supporting striker Zoe Ness.
Rangers started strong in the opening stages of the game as Brogan Hay dragged a shot just wide after she was picked out in the box by defender Chantelle Swaby. Hay then turned provider as she delivered a dangerous ball into the box but Lizzie Arnot’s header was just wide of the target.
Despite dominating possession in the opening stages, Motherwell proved difficult to break down. However, in the 20th minute Rangers managed to get the opening goal as Chantelle Swaby netted her first goal since joining the club.
A Rangers corner was cleared by Motherwell but only as far as Lizzie Arnot who swung the ball back into the box and found the run of Swaby at the back post. It was a composed finish from the defender as she made a connection with her right foot to guide the ball beyond Nicole Cunningham to give Rangers the lead.
Malky Thomson’s side searched for a second as Brogan Hay and Zoe Ness both saw efforts held by the Motherwell goalkeeper.
The second goal did come just five minutes later as Nicola Docherty made a driving run to the byline before cutting the ball back to Zoe Ness in the box. The Gers striker controlled the ball before laying it off the Chelsea Cornet who drilled a powerful shot high into the back of the net.
With 31 minutes on the clock Rangers added a third goal. Lizzie Arnot was again a driving force in Gers attack as she beat the defender down the left before finding Zoe Ness in the box and the striker hit it first time with her left foot for her ninth goal of the season.
Into the second half, Rachel McLauchlan picked out Sam Kerr inside the box but the midfielder’s shot took a deflection and was held by Nicole Cunningham, before the Motherwell number one punched clear a shot from Brogan Hay.
From the resulting corner, Rangers added their fourth goal. The set-piece was swung into the box by Lizzie Arnot and defender Chantelle Swaby got the first touch on the ball to head it down to Kirsten Reilly with the Gers midfielder tapping the ball over the line from close range.
A fifth came just before the hour mark as Nicola Docherty’s throw in fell for Zoe Ness and the striker used her strength to turn well and feed the ball through to Lizzie Arnot. The Scotland international was through on goal and slotted a left -footed effort low into the bottom of the net.
With half an hour of the game remaining, Malky Thomson made a triple substitution as Brogan Hay, Zoe Ness and Lizzie Arnot were replaced by Emma Brownlie, Sonia O’Neill and Daina Bourma.
Rangers added a sixth goal on the 67th minute as Nicola Docherty whipped a ball into the box which was touched home by Kirsten Reilly for her second goal of the afternoon.
There was little action of note in the final 20 minutes of the match as Rangers came away from Airdrie with three points and a clean sheet.
