Gers are in Budapest to face Ferencváros and with just three games remaining in the league phase of the competition, it is another crucial fixture for Danny Röhl’s men.
Speaking to the media at this evening’s pre-match press conference, he said: “It is going to take a big performance, we are going to need bits from the game on Saturday, the confidence and also, we are going to need to be strong defensively as well.
“There are parts of that Braga performance in the first half that I thought we looked solid defensively, and we need to build on that, but equally, we need to be creating a lot as a team.
Aarons, who joined the club in the summer on a season-long loan from Bournemouth, says he is finding his rhythm since the new coaching staff have come in, something he hopes he can continue to build.
He said: “Since the new manager has come in, it has been great and I feel really confident. I feel like I am building in a good direction, especially my own performance,s but I am still looking to push and improve as well.
“When he came in, he looked at some of my games from the start of the season and told me the areas he wanted me to play in more in terms of going forward and attacking.
“He kind of simplified how to get the best out of me, and I can feel that when we are speaking and that trust that he has.
"It feels really good, and like I said, it is about putting that into the performances and keeping on building because I think we have got a way to go in terms of getting to our best level in terms of performances.
"The start was definitely disappointing, but now we have had some really good results in the league, and we want to continue that and games like tomorrow as well, we want to start doing better in.”
Aarons was asked specifically about Mikey Moore, who returned from injury to score at Rugby Park on Saturday, and the full-back hopes the confidence across the team can really continue to grow.
He added: “Mikey has been very good. It is similar in a sense since the new manager has come in, and the team has been more settled, and he has been great.
“It was disappointing he got injured, obviously, but to come back and in his first game to take on the half turn as he did, and that is amazing for his confidence as well, and I think we can start seeing the level that he has and the player that he is. Hopefully, a lot of players can really build some confidence now.”
