Born in 2009 and just 15 years of age, the youngster was named in the lineup in midfield alongside Tessel Middag as she got her first taste of senior football having been named in the last two matchday squads in league action.
Speaking to RangersTV having earned her first minutes, she said: “It was a great experience, to start and obviously make my debut as well, so I am really happy.
“My reaction to being named in the team? I was quite surprised but buzzing to be starting so I loved it.
“It was a tough game but I just enjoyed it and we got the win so I am happy.”
The midfielder spent the week with the squad on their warm weather training camp in Spain during pre-season and also earned minutes against Levante, as she spoke of the time away and how it has impacted her growth as a player.
She continued: “It is a great experience; I think it has helped my development.
“That week away in Spain was great so it was good.”
Cruft was also full of praise for the coaching staff and her teammates after a whirlwind few months saying she is constantly learning being with these seasoned pros on a daily basis.
She added: “What have Jo and the coaching staff been like? They have been really helpful and really nice as well, just integrating me into the team so it has been good.
“It has been great, to see them obviously some great players who I seen when I was younger so it is great to be in with them training and seeing what they are like day to day.”
