The two sides will battle it out at Ibrox to get their hands on the historic trophy as the Light Blues round off their competitive domestic season.
Speaking to the media ahead of the final in Govan, the head coach wants his young side to seize the opportunity and end their season with silverware: “We have got an opportunity to go and play again at Ibrox in a cup final, an Old Firm game as well, so I think everybody is looking forward to it. We talk about winning a cup final, we are there, and now it is at that point we absolutely want to go on and make sure we get our hands on that.
“That is going to come off the back of making sure that we perform properly. We know what level we can reach, and we also recognise if we don't get it right there can be a threat as well.
“We have got to make sure we focus first and foremost on performance and hopefully on the back of that, that will be enough to get us the result that we need.”
McCallum wants his team to adopt the style of play they are capable of displaying as they look to get their hands on the trophy for the second year running.
He added: “Every experience that players get, whether it be a cup final or the challenge of training with the first-team or training up levels, playing in different tournaments, is important for them. You focus initially on how we get to that point, the performance of individuals and the team in terms of the style of play that we want to try and go and achieve.
“We believe that if we get the levels right we will put ourselves in a good place to go and do that, but in a cup final, every player in that dressing room will feel the nerves because it is a cup final and it is at Ibrox.
“We want to go and win, of course we do. We are in that place once you are there, and it is important to go and perform and try get the result.”
