The Young Ger praised his squad’s winning performance today despite the tough match against Gary Jardine’s side.
McClelland spoke exclusively to RangersTV following their win against the Edinburgh side, he said: “Overall, I thought every single person was brilliant all the way through today.
"We knew it was going to be a tough venue to come to, but we got the three points and that’s what we came here for.
“We’ve got experienced boys in the team, and we knew what we were coming towards and knew it was going to be difficult, but I thought everybody made a massive impact and we got the three points.”
McClelland went on to say the importance of Juan Alegria’s opening goal to set the tone of the of the game whilst maintaining a clean sheet.
He added: “It was crucial, he won us the game and it was a great finish by Juan. He’s done very well since he has come in and he has taken his opportunity very well to get the three points.
"[Keeping a clean sheet] is just as good as scoring a goal, as a defender keeping a clean sheet and coming away from home is a benefit.”
