The full-back was happy with the way the squad handled the test to progress into Sunday’s Round 1 mini-tournament final against hosts PAOK.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, McLauchlan said: “Ferencvaros were a very physical team to play against and we knew that coming into the game. We knew what our game would have to be in those circumstances and I think we did well with it.
“Obviously the pitch and the heat is not going to help with that but I think we handled it well and we managed to get the win so we are all delighted. I think we played well, we changed it up but we maintained our structure and our game plan and I think we deserved the win.”
With a 1-0 lead at half-time, McLauchlan said Rangers expected the Hungarian champions to go for it in the second-half and was pleased with the way they managed the latter part of the game.
She continued: “The message was just to keep doing what we were doing, I think our game plan was working but at the same time it was only 1-0 at that point and we knew they would come out.
“They are a very good team and they were going to go for it and they did so we just had to try and see out the game and we got one at the end as well just to secure that win.
“We have got so many games within the season and we know we are going to have to use every single player.
"Everyone is capable no matter what the starting XI is going to be the bench can come on and make an impact and we know that from other weeks as well and that just shows with Brogan coming on and scoring that last goal.”
Looking ahead to Sunday’s final against PAOK, McLauchlan added: “We need to go and rest up and recover and get back on the training pitch.
"It is a brand new team but it is exciting to go back on the pitch again but we will need to see how they play and go from there.”
