The Gers will face off against rivals Celtic on Friday evening as the holders look to book their place in March’s final.
Speaking to the official club website ahead of the Old Firm clash in two days time, the youngster looked ahead to the derby in Airdrie and says the players are excited for the opportunity that awaits.
She said: “We are all buzzing and all getting excited. We just need to keep our heads down in training and keep continuing on what we have been doing the past two games since the break.
“Being a young player I really want to be a part of these games. I think we just need to take this game as if we are playing any other team and we will be ready.”
The 17-year-old feels the squad can take a lot from their outings of 2024 so far, with the Light Blues scoring 22 goals in their two matches since returning from the winter break.
She continued: “The past two games against Inverness and Dundee United we have scored very good goals. I think we can take that and bring confidence into the game.
“Obviously we played them last year before the break and got a good win over them but we just need to take this as a new game.
“We will just look over Celtic this week, how they can hurt us, but more importantly how we can hurt them. All the girls will all be ready for it on Friday.”
The winger has reflected on the side’s commanding weekend win over Dundee United in the SWPL where she got herself on the scoresheet and says the team can build on their positive return to league action ahead of Friday’s cup tie.
She added: “I think in the first half we were a bit sloppy with our passes but in the second we came out and really set the tone and we scored some really good goals. That is good progress to take us into Friday.
“That is what Jo wants us to do, score as many goals as we can. We have obviously went in at half time 4-0 up and she wanted more, we came out and we done that.
“I was really happy; in the first half I had a few shots and they didn't go very well but in the second half I am really happy that I have took my shot and I've got it.”
