Middag’s second-half free-kick was the difference at Meadowbank as the Light Blues continued their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, she said: “Fair play to Hibs they gave us a good game, I actually quite enjoy these games where you have to try and find solutions. It is something for us to look back at and see what we could've done better to make it a bit less of a nerve-wracking game but in the end we won and that is the main thing and we are happy to come away with three points.
“We got a free-kick in a very good position, I stepped up to the ball and asked Lisa [Martinez] to do a little disguise which she executed perfectly. The way the wall was positioned there was only one angle I could go for, so I just thought to try and hit it and as soon as I hit it I thought this is a good strike, hopefully the goalkeeper won't be able to get it and luckily it went in.”
The midfielder was also delighted Rangers were able to keep a clean sheet,with Jenna Fife called into action late in the match as the hosts searched for an equaliser.
She continued: “We could've been a bit calmer at times, we gave the ball away a little bit too quickly, but it is very important to keep the clean sheet.
“For the last two corners the Hibs goalkeeper even stepped into the box, so we just had to hold on and luckily we did.
“Having everyone back from international duty was great, obviously the Scottish girls have had a disappointment to take so it was important to get back winning again and I think this will help us moving into the next games.”
