The game was goalless until Matt Yates curled a free-kick home to give the Gers the lead at the break, and Miller felt it was vital to open the scoring just before half-time.
He said: “It was very important because we go in 1-0 up instead of 0-0 so we kind of got a wee bit of comfort from that.
The victory means the young Gers have won eight out of eight, scoring 30 goals and conceding only two in an impressive start to the league campaign.
The midfielder added:
“In the second half we knew we had to be more clinical and that’s what we were and got the extra three goals and came out with a 4-0 win.
“We got told after the game that we shouldn’t be afraid to just finish people off because we could’ve had like seven with the amount of chances we had.”
