A win over Albania at Tynecastle on Friday was the perfect way to resume international women’s football after such a long period away.
The Scots have played a game less than the Finns, but sit just a point behind them meaning victory tonight will put Shelley Kerr’s Dark Blues in a fantastic position.
Hoping to be involved tonight will be Nicola Docherty – one of four Rangers players in the squad.
She was thrilled to be called-up once again for this round of fixtures, and told rangers.co.uk: "It has been a long time coming, and we have all just been really excited to get back together as it is an important campaign for us and it is important we make it to another major tournament.
"So for us, it was just about getting six points on the board, so we have the first one done and that is the only one we were focusing on to get the three points from.
"We have done that, so now it is full focus on the Finland game. That's going to be a tough game - we know Anna Signeul [former Scotland manager] well and she probably knows us inside out.
"We are going to go into the game with confidence. We go into every game with the same attitude, and that is to get a win, no matter who it is against.
"Finland is going to be a tough game - they are quite a tall team, they are going to be physical and they are going to be well-organised defensively, so it will be about us being patient and trying to break them down and getting the three points we will be looking for."
The women’s set-up at Rangers has, of course, evolved over the last year-or-so to be a real leader in Scottish football.
Docherty feels the highly professional environment at Rangers will only help the players when selected for international duty, and she continued: "It is massively important. For me, previously, I was working as well as playing football, but for now, it is just about focusing on preparing physically and mentally, and I get to do that when I'm at Rangers.
"So it is amazing to have the amount of girls at Rangers who are coming away on an international break and brilliant for all of us who have been selected to represent our country."
