The recently finished 2023/24 campaign saw several products of the Light Blues’ youth system play vitals parts in the team’s success, which saw Jo Potter’s side claim a cup double.
Speaking to the official Rangers website, the club captain has highlighted the growth in the system over the year’s having broken through at the club herself during her time in Glasgow.
She commented: “It has grown massively, back when I was a kid to where the game is now it's huge.
“The talent that is coming through at Rangers you see the young kids at training they are so talented.
“I try and compare it to when I was that age and they are so further ahead now in terms of the dynamic coaching that they have and how fast-forward thinking it is.
“Even like their scanning they just do that naturally now, at that age where I was never taught to scan.”
“The coaching that they are getting now is a credit to Rangers Football Club and they are giving the young girls opportunities to be young professional footballers because that is the end goal for them and it can actually happen now.
“If I was to look back on my career to say that I would be a professional footballer you would probably say no back then because it wasn't as big as it is now.
“To see that they can be that is huge.”
The defender has spoken of the form of several of her club teammates, as she believes they will continue to develop and go on to have successful careers in the game.
She continued: “It is probably the best breakthrough of talent we have had at the club for a long time.
“Obviously Emma Watson is now away to Man United but you have Kirsty Maclean, Jodi McLeary, Eilidh Austin and Mia McAulay, they are unbelievable talent for their age.
“You can see that in their performances and under Jo's coaching as well they are getting even better.
“It is credit to the academy structure that they have in place because that is what is helping the girls come through and you can definitely see that in their performances as well.
“They are raw talent and I really believe that they will probably go really far in football as well.”
The 31-year-old was appointed skipper of the side ahead of the start of the last campaign, as she mentioned her change in role in the team since being given the honour of leading the squad.
She added: “I think there is a lot more responsibility being the captain.
“You obviously have to make sure that there is standards in place within the team and making sure the young ones are ok and I think you can actually see that.
“They don't need much help at all because they are doing fantastic so far within the team.
“Some of them are starting, some of them are on the fence to be starting because they are that good enough.
“There is an added responsibility but it is one that I am really enjoying having.”
