Nsio Proud Of Adding Silverware To His Career

MIDFIELDER Paul Nsio has shared his pride at adding further silverware to his youth career at Rangers.

The Englishman was part of the side that claimed the Glasgow Cup last night off the back of winning the Youth Cup at Under-18’s level last season.

Speaking to RangersTV on winning the trophy, he commented: “I am proud of the boys, we worked really hard throughout the whole game and I am happy for the win.

“I love winning trophies; I have always been a winner. I am just proud of the boys honestly, especially against them, we put on a strong performance and we won the trophy and we just go home happy.”

“We still have got another Glasgow Cup to win, whatever happens I am just happy and hopefully there is just more trophies and wins.”

The 18-year-old got the scoring underway on the night in a five-goal thriller after the Gers came out on top 3-2 in the end, as he described the moment and getting to play slightly more advanced on the evening.

He continued: “Oscar was just pressing, that is what the coaches were telling us to do was just put pressure on them and then I have just screamed for the ball and he has just played it to me and just a one-touch finish.

“It is always enjoyable to score a goal, especially against them.

“Playing number 10 you have the freedom to do what you want and I felt like when I was playing I had the freedom to like drop in, and attack, I am just glad that I helped the team.”

The midfielder has praised the side for the way they started the second half having gone in at the break level, with forward Zak Lovelace coming up with the decisive moment off the bench to win it with three minutes to go.

He added: “Half time message? He just told us to just go be aggressive, because I think in the first 35 minutes it was kind of passive.

“As soon as we were out there in the first 20 minutes of the second half we just put the foot down, ended up scoring and then from there the rest is history.

“We started off well the first 20 minutes and then lost a goal, but we just kept going and going and then Zak Lovelace came in clutch and got us the win.”
