The Light Blues responded in the best way possible after conceding a last gasp equaliser to draw 2-2 in midweek, easing past their Saturday opponents with a dominant display.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, the goalkeeper was happy with the performance and stressed the importance of responding in the way that they did: “We are pleased. We needed a win just to get ourselves back on track and put us back towards the top of the league going into the next couple of games that we have got.”
Pazikas said the quality of goals was clear to see, insisting that it was exactly what they had planned beforehand before heaping praise on his teammates for how they handled the game with ten men.
He continued: “It was everything that we had worked on, we worked on how to break their press and it has paid off and we have got the goals that we deserved.
“It’s not easy going down to ten men, but the boys handled it well and we still picked up the three points.”
The shot stopper says it was extra motivation to respond to the midweek draw, which was the message from the coaches heading into their clash today.
He said: “It was a bit of motivation, obviously the league is still to play for so with us sitting near the top three points was massive for us.
“It was mega important. It was what we needed to put ourselves back towards the top of the table, and just keep on thriving and going.”
