The Light Blues extended their winning start to 2024, with 10 victories on the bounce in an impressive display over Steven Naismith’s side who were on their own run, unbeaten in the league since December.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, Clement said: “I was pleased with the energy, the will to score goals and not to give away chances.
“For sure the synergy with the fans is amazing for the moment and in the warm-up you feel the togetherness, the passion and the belief, so that pushed my players. It is really what I love and what I wanted to see the first day I stepped into this building.
“I knew how great it could be, we talked about that in the beginning, and I am starting to feel it more and more and my players also.
“We scored five really nice and really good goals and kept a clean sheet which also stays important against a team who are third in the league and were 12 games unbeaten. Let's not forget that so that is also an important part that you take into account for this game.”
Cyriel Dessers was on target twice, taking his tally for the season to 16, with January signings Mohamed Diomande, Oscar Cortes and Fabio Silva also finding the back of the net.
Clement is happy with how the most recent recruits have settled into the squad, he continued: “I am very happy with them but also with the rest of the squad because they have been helping them from the first second they were in the building both on the field and off the field.
“They are really growing to be a team and it is now by staying humble, staying hard working and doing what they have been doing.
“Continuing to have this hunger to grow as a squad, as a team, as an individual that is crucial for the next weeks and the next months, and they can be really pleased about their game today, but I want to see in the next training people coming in with a lot of ambition to do better than they did today.”
