Philippe Clement Named Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month

PHILIPPE CLEMENT has been named the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Month for January 2024.

It is the first time the Gers boss has won the trophy since arriving in Scotland in October, after three straight league wins in the month.

Clement led the side to a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock before returning from the winter training camp in La Manga with a 4-1 victory against Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup.

Two difficult away trips to Hibernian and St Mirren followed, but the Belgian boss saw his side run out comfortable 3-0 victors in the capital before a 1-0 success in Paisley over the Buddies.

Clement – who led the club to Viaplay Cup glory in December with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen at Hampden - was thrilled to pick up the prize but insists it is a team effort.

He said: “I am delighted to win this award for the first time, but I accept it on behalf of my players and my coaching staff.

“We have won all of our games in January, scoring 11 goals and conceding just two.

“Now the challenge is to continue to produce the results and performances that I know we are capable of and hopefully that can lead to a successful season for Rangers.”

Up next for Clement and his side is a clash with Aberdeen at Ibrox with the game kicking-off at 8pm.
