The head coach will get the opportunity to sample the home turf for the first time after taking over the Light Blues in the summer as the Gers prepare to step foot in the historic stadium once again.
Speaking to RangersTV at the ground in the build-up to the match Potter is looking ahead to the occasion and insists these are the games that you want to be a part of as a coach.
She said: “I can't wait, this is the games that you want to be a part of. You want to be stood on the touchline at stadiums like this. This ground holds a lot of history for us, we want to play games here. We want to play as many games here as possible, it is going to be really exciting for us.
“We are excited to be here, we all always want to play big games at big stadiums. Hopefully a good crowd can come down but we are more than excited to get back here and hopefully put on a show.”
The boss feels getting the chance to play at the stadium and help grow the women’s game further was one of the many factors why she choose to make the switch to Glasgow and she hopes the team can put on a positive showing for the supporters that turn out on the day.
She continued: “When I first came up here and I had a tour of the ground and I learned the history of the club and obviously we know of everything that is out there with the number of trophies that this club has won. It is just when you get in here that you don't realise how big it is and you don't understand the feeling of it until you stand in the tunnel. You stand in the changing room and you feel the history of the club. I am really looking forward to it and I am excited for the new girls to feel it as well.
“We want to put on a performance, we always want to win games, we know that, but we want to put on a performance and we want to get crowds here. We want to get crowds to our home ground, but particularly when we come to places like this and playing in a big stadium we want to make sure that fans want to come back, that they want to come and watch the women's team. They want to see a team go out there and give there all for this shirt, we are more than looking forward to it.
The former England international knows the team will be facing tricky opposition when they welcome the Edinburgh side in four days time but has encouraged her team to continue their impressive form and deliver another victory come Sunday.
She added: “It is going to be one of those games that it is not going to be easy. It is definitely an occasion for both teams, we are looking to do what we normally do. We prep really well, we look what threats that they pose against us, but more importantly how we can hurt them. We know that they are going into it with a lot of confidence, they have got some really good attacking threats. We have got to be careful of that but we are going there to try get our three points as normal.
“That is something that we have been challenging all along, we know we are expected to win these games. We are expected to win week in week out but as I always say there is a process to that and how that looks, how that looks in our camp. We do what we need to do each week and we build towards that, there is a progression and I am really happy with how we are going. The performances are getting better and better, I think you can see the performances are getting there. It is matching with results too; I am looking for three points on the day.”
