The Light Blues registered their third win in seven days with a resounding 12-0 victory over Montrose at Links Park this afternoon in the SWPL.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory the head coach highlighted limiting the opposition to few chances and the approach from her side with the number of goals scored throughout as to what pleased her most.
She said: “Ironically the clean sheet, we weren't too pleased with the goal we conceded on Wednesday night, but we looked at it. We made sure that we put it right in training, we looked at it on the analysis screen and we dissected it on what we could do better. I was really pleased with the clean sheet today but scoring 12 goals and having six different goal scorers too was more than pleasing.
Potter was delighted with the control from her team after taking the lead midway through the first half and was impressed with the way they kept pushing to add to the scoreline in the second period.
She continued: “There is one thing that I have spoken to the players about in the dressing room is being ruthless and not taking the foot off the gas and making sure we keep going. Wanting to score more goals because we create them, we create them time after time. It is making sure that we are in those positions nine times out of 10 and then it is about the clinical edge that we have got to put it in the back of the net.
“It is just some of the work that we have been putting in over the past few weeks and months that are allowing players to get in those positions. We are getting the structure a little bit better now behind the ball which means we can free players up a bit more.
“I am more than pleased and it is just about those players taking their chances in that moment and when you have got quality players in and around the box and in goal scoring opportunities it is down to them to take it.”
Rangers rounded off an impressive week with another three points following victories over Dundee United and Motherwell as the team now have a two-week break before their next fixture. The head coach says it will be a period of reflection and hard work as they look to continue moving in the right direction.
She added: “That is something that we have been working on and we knew it was going to be a tough week. Three games in a week is never easy especially with a small limited squad at the moment with so many injuries.
“I have been more than impressed with the girls I said that at the end. To finish off a three-game week with nine points and 12 goals today is very impressive so I was very proud of them.
“It is about keeping the players that we have got ticking over and keeping them at the forefront of their game and hopefully the players that are going away come back nice and fresh and had a little break away from the group.
“It is good to have a little restart and refresh again just making sure that we reflect on it and seeing what we're doing well but actually keep progressing, because I am happy where we are at. It would be good to get some players back from injury after the international break so hopefully we will come back refreshed and ready to go.”
