Rachel McLauchlan Delighted To Get On The Scoresheet

A slight change in set-up for Gers saw full-backs McLauchlan and Docherty play higher up the pitch, a role which the 23-year-old enjoyed.

Speaking to RangersTV, she said: “It was good to go out and get going again and obviously we scored quite a few goals there so that is always good.

“Each player had their rola and we tried out a new formation so it was quite good to get going.

“I was really happy to get a goal and pleased for the other girls who managed to finish their shots.

"With the new formation there was a lot of running but I liked it. I like going forward as well as defending so for me it was really good and I was happy to get back post it was a bit of an open goal so I'm glad I just got it in.”

McLauchlan was delighted to see captain Clare Gemmell get on the scoresheet in her final home match for the club.

She continued: “We were all shouting on the bench and we wanted her to get higher and try and get that goal, I am really happy she did.

“I have only been in since December and you can tell the role she has got in the club and she gets on with everyone and she is really good to be around so it will be sad seeing her go.”
