The Gers head coach was pleased to see five different goalscorers as Nicola Docherty, Rachel McLauchlan, Kirsten Reilly, Zoe Ness and Clare Gemmell all got on the scoresheet.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “Again three points first and foremost is the most important and I have to say the girls were really disciplined in the fact that we changed the shape a wee bit today.
“I thought Clare Gemmell and Kirsten really took to their new roles and again probably on another day we could've added more goals to what the eventual score was but it was pleasing enough.
“A lot of this year we haven't really had a recognised number nine albeit we have managed to create chances and score a lot of goals this year. I think in order for us going forward we really have to be more cutting edge when it comes to the chances we do create and we need to be putting a lot of chances in the back of the net.
“Nicola Docherty and Rachel McLauchlan are very very fit not just with that burst of speed that they have both got but they can both get up and down the park so it is pleasing to see them having such an influential part in the game today.”
Thomson ended with a word on captain Clare Gemmell who scored in her final home match before retiring at the end of the season.
He said: “She has been a good servant and has been great in the time that I have been in. She is a leader, she inspires, she creates good habits and good disciplines.
“I think nowadays those are values and disciplines that we need and going forward that cultural bit is important.”
