RANGERS Academy are today pleased to announce that defender James Reid has joined the club from Queen’s Park.
Reid, 16, has signed professional terms after making the switch from the Spiders and will form part of Stevie Smith’s Under-19s side in the upcoming campaign.
A central defender, Reid featured prominently for Queen's Park in the CAS Elite Under-18 League last season.
Interim Head of Academy, David McCallum, commented: “We are pleased to bring James to the club.
“He is a player who impressed playing above his age group for Queen’s Park and was quickly identified by our recruitment team as a young player with quality and potential.
“We believe that James has attributes that can be developed further working under our strong Academy coaching unit and we look forward to his continued development.”
