The young Gers will travel to Ainslie Park at the beginning of August to face the Edinburgh side as David McCallum’s squad look to make a strong start in this season's Cup campaign.
The first round of games will take place on the 9th and 10th of August when the Light Blues will take on Dougie Samuel’s side away from home.
If the Gers progress to the second round of the tournament, they will face Dumbarton at home later in the month.
B Team coach, David McCallum outlined his thoughts after the draw, he said: “We’re in this competition to go and compete against senior teams at different stages and levels, Spartans are a team that we played a couple of times last year so we know it will be a tough game.
“We knew that it’d be tough no matter who we got, it’s one we’re looking forward to and will prepare for properly, but we’ll go in to give ourselves a good chance to progress to the next stage.
“All the guys that have come into the group now are a relatively new group, they’ll all have to face up to this challenge quite quickly whether that be the league or the Trust Cup.
“We’ll focus on how we want to play, it’ll be a challenging game and we need to make sure that we are ready to go.”
