RANGERS Football Club are today delighted to announce a collaboration with The City Talking Studios which will see the production of a film based on the club’s historic European triumph.
Rangers72 will tell the remarkable journey to the European Cup Winners’ Cup which saw Willie Waddell’s side overcome tragedy, unjust defeat and unimagined triumph on the road to Barcelona.
Produced by The City Talking Studios, makers of Amazon’s Take Us Home: Leeds United, the 90-minute film will relive one of the most compelling stories in Rangers and football history.
Including never-before seen archive footage and interviews with former players and key characters, supporters will be able to relive the incredible events of that iconic season.
Rangers’ Commercial and Marketing Director James Bisgrove commented: “We are delighted to announce this agreement with City Talking Studios for the Rangers72 movie.
“It is fitting that in the club’s 150th anniversary year we will be able to produce a film which will tell the story of one of the most remarkable moments in Rangers’ history.
