As the FAB approaches the end of its initial cycle, applications are now open for new members to join the refreshed Board ahead of the 2026/27 season, with some existing members stepping down and others continuing into the next term.
Dialogue throughout the season
Between June 2025 and May 2026, the FAB and Rangers Football Club maintained a structured programme of dialogue across what has been a challenging season on and off the pitch. During that period, the FAB and the club held 42 formal engagement sessions:
16 FAB meetings (bi-monthly, catch-ups, ad hoc)
22 working group sessions (Heritage, MyGers, Ticketing, European Away)
4 supporter roundtables (in-person and online)
Beyond the formal structured dialogue, FAB members and the club’s Fan Engagement function remain in regular contact on an almost daily basis to raise issues, discuss supporter feedback and follow up on ongoing matters.
The FAB also contributes to a wider programme of supporter engagement activity covering supporter sentiment, matchday operations, disability access, and direct dialogue with senior club leadership.
Stuart Langan, FAB Chair, said: "It has been a demanding season, and the work of the FAB matters most when the dialogue is hardest. As a Board we have pushed where we've needed to push and worked constructively where it counted.
“Some of our current members will continue into the next cycle, and we will be bringing new voices alongside them. We are looking for people who bring perspective, pragmatism and a willingness to do the work — and who can hold their own in difficult conversations.
“Above all, we're looking forward to working with fellow fans who are passionate about making our great club even better."

The application takes around 15 minutes to complete and asks candidates to set out why they are interested, what skills they would bring, how they would represent the wider fan base, and what fan engagement means to them.

New Board in place: Start of 2026/27 season
Interviews will be conducted by a three-person panel comprising Stuart Langan (FAB Chair), Greg Marshall (Head of Fan Engagement, Rangers FC) and Alan Russell of Supporters Direct Scotland, who joins the process as an independent panel member.
FAB drop-in sessions for prospective applicants
To support and provide insight for people considering an application, current FAB members will host two online drop-in sessions on Microsoft Teams during the application window.
These are an informal opportunity to ask questions about the role, the time commitment, and how the FAB works in practice. FAB members will also appear on fan media outlets in the coming weeks to share further insight into their own experience.
