The partnership will see Rangers Soccer Academy staff and coaches work closely with Yorkton United to assist with player development and adds to recent announcements for the Soccer Academy team as they add another club to their portfolio in North America.
Based in Yorkton Saskatchewan, the club is committed in a long-term plan to help aid the development and growth of aspiring young footballers.
Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Academies and International Relations at Rangers commented: “We have worked with Yorkton Soccer Club for a number of years now delivering camp and tour events which have been a huge success.
“We have built very strong relationships and delighted that we are putting a longer-term agreement in place as we continue to drive the club’s international strategy.
“Iain Greer, International Soccer Academies Manager has been instrumental in making this happen, and we are delighted that we will now assist the club with player development and coach education through the Rangers Online Academy which will provide access to cutting-edge footage of our coaching staff and Academy players.
“Rangers Soccer Academy coaches will travel across to Canada this summer to deliver camp events while welcoming teams to Glasgow each year as part of the agreement which will be a mixture of football, education and leisure activities.”
