Rangers Play Kaizer Chiefs In Closed Door Friendly

RANGERS played a closed-door friendly against South African side Kaizer Chiefs in Spain this evening.

Summer signings Ben Godfrey, Ross McCrorie, Dan Neil and Lawrence Shankland were all involved in the 1-1 draw.

The match was the first of two for Derek McInnes’ side as they ramped up their pre-season preparations ahead of the first Scottish Premiership fixture against Dundee United in just over two weeks' time.

It was the South African side who took the lead in the 77th minute before Nedim Bajrami hit the post for Rangers shortly after.

In his first run-out for Rangers since the World Cup, Findlay Curtis sent a superb dipping shot over the goalkeeper to draw level in the final minutes of the match.
