Following on from the success of the men's first-team edition, MyGers members were able to watch Jo Potter’s side go through their paces ahead of tomorrow’s league clash against Hamilton Academical at Broadwood Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
The Light Blues will be keen to sign off for the winter break on a positive note, with their unbeaten campaign so far having propelled the side to the summit of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League table.
There was entertainment for all ages, including a football freestyler, live interviews, and an opportunity for fans to grab autographs and photos with the players after training.
Club legend John ‘Bomber’ Brown also made an appearance, offering advice to the young supporters in attendance about what it takes to play for Rangers.
Rangers captain, Nicola Docherty, said of the event: “It’s obviously the first time that we’ve done this, and it shows you how far women’s football has come.
“The difference in women’s football is incredible, and what we’re doing at this club is fantastic. The kids that are here today can see it’s achievable for them as well.
“What the board have done for us over the last three years has been phenomenal; they’ve backed us from the very beginning since they turned professional.
“You can see even the small changes behind the scenes, and it’s evident across the country with so many fans starting to turn out for women’s matches.
“It’s so important for the young kids, especially those here today, to see that they can achieve something.”
