Rangers Women To Play At Ibrox Against Aberdeen

RANGERS Football Club are delighted to announce our Park’s Motor Group SWPL fixture against Aberdeen will be played at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday, April 24 at 4:10pm.

It’s a historic moment for the squad and will be the first time the club’s professional women’s side run out at the stadium.

For the players and staff, it is set to be a memorable afternoon as they look to continue their fine form in front of an Ibrox crowd.

Sporting Director Ross Wilson said: “It is a huge moment for the club and our women’s and girls’ programme to be able to host a competitive SWPL match at Ibrox.

“The profile of the women’s game in Scotland and across Europe is on the rise and for us to be able to showcase the game on such a platform will be a special moment for everyone involved with the club.”

Women’s and Girls’ Football Manager Amy McDonald added: “I am absolutely delighted that we will have the opportunity to host our SWPL 1 fixture against Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium.

“To have a professional women’s team taking to the field at such a venue shows just how far the game has come in the last few years and it is important we continue to push that further to provide opportunities for the next generation of female footballers.

“We hope as many fans as possible will come along to support our squad at an incredibly important period of the season.”
