The midfielder says the squad knew it was important they returned to Glasgow with all three points this afternoon as goals from Danilo and Rabbi Matondo sealed the win.
Speaking to RangersTV at full time, he said: “It was important to win and to put on a performance. I think we controlled the game, we created chances and the second goal helped us to be calm.
“In those kinds of games when you control all the game, and you don't score then you know there is a chance that with a bad bounce or something the other team can do something, so it was important to get the second one. I think we had a good performance, and I am happy with the game.
“It was two team goals. I think the first with the cross from James Tavernier is very good hope Danilo’s injury is not too bad. I am happy for Danilo and also in the second one you can see Tom [Lawrence] giving the assist to Rabbi [Matondo] so it is giving confidence to everybody, so it is very good.”
Picking up Man of the Match, Raskin was pleased with his own performance and hopes the squad can continue to build heading into Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match against Real Betis at Ibrox.
He continued: “I think we did good in the midfield with the two sixes and one ten, it allows us to press a bit higher because we can put pressure on their six and then jump so it is good, and we enjoyed it.
“I know we have got a very busy period, a very important period so it was important to start good so that win gives us confidence to look forward onto Thursday and then we are going to take game after game and give our best.”
