The young Ger bagged her first competitive goal with the first team as they finished their SWPL Cup group stage with another win against Boroughmuir Thistle Sunday afternoon.
Speaking exclusively with RangersTV after the match, the youngster expressed her excitement after the team finished with four wins from four games in the group stage of the competition. She said: “It’s a massive boost for us winning four games in four leading into the campaign, it’ll give us a lot of confidence going forward and hopefully we can take that into the league as well.
“It was a good performance from us, four goals and I managed to bag a goal myself which puts confidence into me that I can play at this level and give me a boost for when we go back down to the U19’s.”
The Light Blue followed up by adding how she feels the exposure playing with the women’s first team has strengthened her development. She continued: “We’ve [Emma Watson] worked hard and I feel like we deserved this opportunity.
“We’ve shown in training that we can play at this level and take the positives back to the U19’s and into international duty.
“Being able to train and play in friendlies with the women’s first team and to get involved within the environment has been great. I’ve loved every minute of it!”
