The Young Ger netted two goals for the squad this afternoon and highlighted the benefit of competing in these games at a young age.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV after gaining three points and a clean sheet, the Light Blue emphasised the importance of ending the year on a positive as they complete the first half of the season.
He said: “It was important to end the year on a high and I thought we did that especially with the tough pitch conditions, but credit to us I thought we handled it very well. We started to find our feet in the game following Alex’s goals and get more as the game went on into the latter stages.
“As a striker, you always want to get goals, it’s just when the chance comes, and you can concentrate and get a good connection with the ball to put it in the net. It’s great to end the year with some goals. We’re playing against players that are stronger than us, we’re all learning and wanting to get into the B team – it’s benefitting us massively.”
Ure continued by outlining the B team’s ambitions to keep the momentum going as they head into 2022 with another busy run of fixtures.
He continued: “It’s massive, we want to do as well as we can. We’ll take a few days to rest and prepare for the New Year, but we just want to kick on and hit the ground running when we come back.”
