Tuur Rommens scored the only goal of the game as Rangers made it 13-games unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, the head coach said: “It was massive, we knew this is not an easy place to come, it is a tough place. It is a game where you cannot just win with nice football, you have to show resilience, and I think we are very well organised.
“We had good moments with the ball as well and finally we have a clean sheet and I said this, if we have clean sheets then we can win games.
“We had some good moments in transition where we can kill the game and even the offside should not be offside so from our side, we could be a little bit smarter to make a goal but the subs made a good impact, they brought the game home this is what we need.
“At the moment, this is a big challenge in the squad. Everyone is ready to go but I felt that my team believes in what we are doing, there was a great energy, everyone was ready for this game.
“We did the job today, not more not less and now it is about eight cup finals.”
On Tuur Rommens, who scored his first goal for the club, Röhl continued: “It's fantastic, he has had nearly similar situations against Livingston and he didn't score, and then the same situation against Celtic at home and today he scored.
“He is always on the front foot, but I can't forget Jayden, he did a fantastic job and today he also came on and he helped. Tuur had problems after the Celtic game with his hamstring, he came through and Jayden is there.
"I have this position really well covered. Both of them deserve to play but just one can start and all in all we need everyone.”
Connor Barron also made his return from injury today with his first appearance since January, and the head coach said competition in his squad is high.
He added: “I am always happy when my players come back, the six position at the moment is a tough one. Two players can start, one is in the squad and maybe one is not in the squad and this is not easy but Connor took this.
“In the last couple of weeks, he was showing that he is ready. Even in this position we need all of them in different ways.
“Let's be happy today not more and go again on Saturday with our fans.”
