ROSS MCCAUSLAND believes the B Team were outstanding in their opening UEFA Youth League fixture against Hammarby this evening at Dumbarton.
The youngster has enjoyed the last few days after signing a contract extension with the club and finishing tonight’s victory with two goals.
Speaking exclusively with RangersTV after their winning performance the Young Ger reflected on the game.
He said: “I’m absolutely buzzing! It’s been a great two days and there’s nothing better than topping off signing a new contract than with a win tonight.
“I thought that the boys were absolutely outstanding, I thought that we dominated the game throughout. After the loss at the weekend, I thought that it was a brilliant response.
“We kept our head up and the chances kept coming, fortunately two fell to me and I took them.”
McCausland underlined the importance to continue their momentum in Sweden in a few weeks.
He continued: “It’s only half a game completed, we still have another match against Hammarby in Sweden and hopefully we get the result.
“I think that preparation is key for the quick turnaround, but the staff that we have in place are key and have been amazing which has been a massive help.”
