Rangers are in Austria for the second matchday of the league phase, and the head coach insists the players have had a good week of the back of Sunday’s late victory over Livingston.
Speaking to the media at this evening’s pre-match press conference, Martin said: “It is another different challenge, another European night and another chance to have a brilliant night together, so I am looking forward to it especially off the back of a good feeling in the group after Sunday.
“It has been a good week, we had a difficult evening last Thursday because we had a man sent off for a long period of time so that wasn't easy but they stuck together through that.
“We beat Hibs and played well and played better against Livingston especially in the first-half, we should've scored a few more goals. They showed a lot of character, dug in together and showed a lot of spirit, a lot of fight and a willingness to run and that spirit has really increased over the last three or four weeks.
When asked how he will approach the game, with seven games still to play in the league phase, Martin continued: “We will try to come to win, it is a competition that you have to, I don't think we are going to set-up anywhere to try and draw the game or avoid defeat.
“It has to be our approach with the club we are at, so we are going to come here and try and turn the game into one that we want to and to win. Being really respectful of the opposition, who are good, and obviously have home advantage but we are going to try and come and turn the game into one that we want to.”
