The winger’s looping header started a super afternoon of action from Gers as they ran out 5-0 winners over Ross County with five different scorers.
Kent had an excellent individual afternoon, and told RangersTV: “We are delighted.
"We brought a lot of energy to the game, especially at the start. We set the tempo right and we followed it through right to the end of the game.
“The gaffer mentioned we probably left the Aberdeen game early, so that was in our minds today and we scored lots of goals coming from right across the pitch.
“That has been that from the get-go. Everyone has been dangerous in lots of areas of the pitch, providing lots of opportunities. It has been very diverse.”
Kent perhaps isn’t known for his heading ability, and added: “I think it has been coming! The gaffer has been mentioning getting into the box more often and getting myself on the end of some crosses, and it paid dividends today.”
