The Light Blues were dominant throughout the contest and a first half double was soon to become three as the 23-year-old headed home from close range at the start of the second half to claim the match ball.
Speaking to RangersTV after the win Kerr was delighted with her contributions on the day and was happy to claim all three points in Glasgow.
She said: “It is my first hat trick for the club so it is special to me, we were joking in the first half of the year that I had a curse that I couldn't score so it is great to finally get on the scoresheet.
“I think first half we played really well especially and came out second half and played well and obviously it was slack towards the end but we got the three points and that is all that matters.
The midfielder has got on target in back to back games for the Light Blues and say it is something she wants to keep adding to her game moving forward as she hailed the side for the quality of goals on the day.
She continued: “It is definitely something I want to keep adding to my game, for me I need to score more goals for the team and I have been doing that so hopefully it continues into the big games coming up.
“We played some nice football at times and some of the goals there was nice build up leading to them as well, it is confidence we can take into Wednesday for sure and we had different scorers today as well which was really good.”
The midfielder says it was important to start a big week for the club well with victory at Petershill as they get ready to take on the league leaders in three days time.
She added: “It is a massive week coming up, we have obviously got Glasgow City on Wednesday and it is important game for us so we will be going there looking for the win and a good performance.”
