With excitement beginning to stir, we’ve put together the key dates for your diary over the next 12 months across the club.
MEN’S FIRST-TEAM
Head Coach, Russell Martin, will meet his squad for the first time when they return to training on Monday, June 23rd for the start of their pre-season preparations.
Indeed, the Gers boss will already know who lies in wait in his side’s Scottish Premiership opener by that point, with the fixtures for the 2025/26 campaign set to be released on Friday, June 20th.
On the European front, Rangers will enter the UEFA Champions League at the second qualifying round.
The side will be in the League Path and, alongside RB Salzburg and Viktoria Plzen, will be seeded, opening up a potential tie against Panathinaikos of Greece, Servette of Switzerland or SK Brann of Norway.
The draw will take place on Wednesday, June 18th, with the two-legged affair pencilled in for July 22nd/23rd and 29th/30th.
In the meantime, Ibrox will host a pre-season friendly between the Light Blues and Club Brugge on Sunday, July 6th, kick-off 2pm, while Middlesbrough will also visit Govan later in the month on Saturday, July 26th, kick-off 2pm.
The Gers will make the trip south of the border following the conclusion of Club Brugge’s visit to Glasgow for a week-long intensive training camp at St. George’s Park.
Home of the England national teams, the camp will provide the side with the opportunity to bond and step up their preparations for the new season at a world-class training facility.
Should Rangers navigate their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie, the draw for the third qualifying round will take place on Monday, July 21st.
Those matches, meanwhile, will be played August 5th/6th/7th and 12th/14th, with the draw for the play-off round taking place on Monday, August 4th.
The Premier Sports Cup also kicks off early in the campaign and, owing to Rangers’ involvement in European competition, they will enter the draw at the second round stage on the weekend of August 16/17th.
Martin will be keen for his side to hit the ground running for their league season opener on August 2nd/3rd, with the new Head Coach able to bolster his squad on the recruitment front until Monday, September 1st at 7pm when the summer transfer window closes.
Three international breaks are scheduled before the end of the year between 1st-9th September, 6th-14th October, and 10th-18th November.
The African Cup of Nations, meanwhile, will run between December 21st 2025 and January 18th 2026, although there will be no break in domestic football action.
The final international break of the 2025/26 campaign will take place between 23rd-31st March, before the FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11th in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
WOMEN’S FIRST-TEAM
Jo Potter’s side will return to training on Tuesday, July 8th having lifted the Scottish Cup for the second successive campaign just a few short weeks ago.
League glory is on the agenda for the Light Blues, who will discover their opening weekend opponents when the SWPL fixtures are released on Wednesday, June 25th.
A pre-season outing at home to Middlesbrough at Broadwood Stadium has already been confirmed, taking place the day following the Men’s first-team clash with the north-east outfit on Sunday, July 27th, kick-off 2pm.
The side’s first SWPL fixture of the 2025/26 campaign will take place on Sunday, August 17th, marking the first season of the new format involving ten teams in each of the top two divisions.
The Light Blues have ambitions, too, of making it four in a row in the Sky Sports Cup, where they will enter the competition at the second round stage on Sunday, October 5th.
The league will, as is customary, pause for a winter break between Monday, December 22nd and Saturday, January 17th 2026, with the final pre-split fixture in the SWPL scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 22nd 2026.
Sunday, May 24th will then mark the final day of the SWPL campaign.
